Rising Tide – 2019 Week 14

Welcome back to Rising Tide, the weekly digest of things I’ve discovered or been into this past week and consider worth sharing. Enjoy!

1. The Gummi Bear Experiment

2. Now that I’m in the running mindset, I’m constantly looking for motivation. Here is this week’s: Rickey Graves set out to run every street in San Francisco…and he did. 1200+ miles in 40 days!

3. Dali’s side projects

4. Happy 91st Birthday to one Phenomenal Woman, Maya Angelou!

5. Aoki Tetsuo‘s people

6. Book reviews:

  • Keep Going by Austin Kleon ★★★★★ I love everything by him, including this, his latest.
  • Folsom Untold by Danny Robins. While the narration only gets ★★, the story itself about Johnny Cash’s album, At Folsom Prison is pretty interesting and gets ★★★★. And the album itself (below) gets ★★★★★, of course!

7. I first heard of Tamino yesterday, and his new album, Amir, has been on repeat since. Mellow, beautiful, pure.

8. This week’s playlist is made up of songs I’ve discovered or have been listening to a lot this week:

Well, I think that’s it for this week! Until next time…
